Jones, Forrest E., 1897-1989,

Forrest Jones' grandparents and father came from Wales and emmigrated to the U.S. in 1867. They first went to Blackhawk, where they worked in the gold mines. After an accident which left him unable to mine, his grandfather moved to Sunshine in 1876 and began ranching. Forrest's father Edward married in 1888 and Forrest was born in 1897 at Sunshine, where he spent his entire life.

John E. Jones, his wife Mary Ann Thomas Jones and their sons Edward T. and Johnnie E. Jones emmigrated to the United States from Wales in 1867. They first went to Blackhawk where they worked as miners in the gold mines. After an accident incapacitated him, John Jones moved his family to Sunshine, where they took up ranching. Edward married Emily Ella Mayne in 1888 and Forrest was born at Sunshine in 1897. He had three sisters, Betha, Lois, and Ethel. Ethel died at age six.

Johnnie Jones married Lillie Hubbel and their son was named Edward H. Jones. Eddy died young.
