Whiting family.
Descendants of Nathaniel Whiting (1609-1683), who came to Dedham, Mass., and in 1641 was the owner and operator of a gristmill privilege of Mother Brook (also called Mill Creek); mill owners, manufacturers, and businessmen from 1740s to 1850s in Dedham.
