Crumpacker, Maurice Edgar, 1886-1927
Variant namesMaurice Edward Crumpacker was an attorney of Portland, Oregon in the years 1912-1924. He co-authored the Oregon Bonus Law and founded the Loyal Legion of Loggers and Lumbermen during World War I "as a means of harmonizing employers and employees in attaining efficient lumber production and combating the spread of IWW [International Workers of the World] doctrines." He represented Oregon as a Republican member of the U.S. Congress from 1925 to 1927.
