During Dante Negro's tenure at Brooklyn College, he proved to be an able administrator and an important figure in the theater Department. He served as Associate Dean of Administration, a position w here he did so well that Louis B. Solomon, one-time Acting Associate Dean of Administration, called Negro "a tough act to follow." Negro was involved with multiple organizations on campus; he chaired the Faculty Committee of Honors, Citations, and Awards; the Presidential Hearing Committee on Disciplinary Procedures; and BC Fund's, Faculty Advisory Committee. In addition, Negro was an officer in the Brooklyn College Fund and Alumni Association. As an administrator, Negro came in contact with a variety of individuals, about whom he maintained information. Dante Negro played an important role in the development of theater of Brooklyn Collge. Besides being an educator and chairing the Center for the Performing Arts, he was a concert manager and instrumental in the development and advancement of Brooklyn College's Repertory Theater and was also on the Brooklyn College Performing Arts Council.
