Davidson, Joseph H., 1903-1981.
Known affectionately as "Skipper" ever since he was dubbed by a student who saw him wearing a sailor's cap to rehearsal, Joseph (Skipper) Davidson, also known professionally as Jo Davidson, taught speech and theatre at Brooklyn College for 44 years. He was born in Connecticut and educated at Boston University, Columbia and the Leland Powers School of Theatre. He directed and produced over 150 theatre productions at Brooklyn College.
