William Larkin Duren, Methodist clergyman, author, and editor, was born 27 October 1870, in Carroll County, Mississippi, and died 21 June 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He served churches in Mississippi (1902-1919), Louisiana (1920-1925; 1931-1933), and Georgia (1926-1930); edited the NEW ORLEANS CHRISTIAN ADVOCATE (1934-1946); and published four books.
