Collins, Varnum Lansing, 1870-1936

Varnum Lansing Collins was a Princeton alum of the Class of 1893 and served as the University's Secretary from 1917 to 1936.

Varnum Lansing Collins was a member of the Princeton class of 1892. Following graduation he served the college (and later, the university) as a reference librarian, preceptor, french professor, and as Secretary of the University from 1917-1936. Collins wrote extensively about Princeton, publishing one of the earliest and most complete histories of the University in 1914.
