Horr served as a Major in the U.S. 13th Infantry during the Civil War. (His diary, 1862-1863, is at the Public Library of Des Moines.) Muhlenberg served as a Captain in Horr's unit and was also a Brvt. Maj. In the 1880s, he lived in Galesburg (Mich.) and was a member of the G.A.R. Orcutt Post No. 79 (Kalamazoo, Mich.). Wright lived in Muskegon and was a member of Phil Kerney Post No. 7 (Muskegon, Mich.). Webb had married her husband in 1878. He was a major in the same unit, and came from Chicago.
