Ingham, A. E. (Albert Edward)
Variant namesAlbert Edward Ingham (1900-1967), mathematician, was born in Northampton on 3 April 1900. He attended King Edward VI Grammar School, Stafford, and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he became a Fellow in 1922. He became a university lecturer in 1930, and that year was made Fellow and director of studies at King's College, Cambridge. He was reader in mathematical analysis, 1953-1957. Ingham was the author of The distribution of prime numbers (1932). He died in Switzerland on 6 September 1967.
