United Steelworkers of America. Research Dept.
The Research Department originated in the Steelworkers Organizing Committee in 1936, and persisted from the founding of the United Steelworkers of America in 1942 to the twenty-first century. In 1968 the Department merged with the Contract Department forming the Research-Contract Department. Both separated in 1978.
