Cadwallader Jones (1813-1899) and Annie Isabella Jones; grandson of N.C. Gov. James Iredell; brother of Cadwallader Jones, Jr., and Allen Jones (b.1846); husband of Ellen Tree Jones (d.1873) and Laura E. Jones (d. 1887); father, of Lillian Jones Butler, Iredell Jones, Jr., and Chafee Jones.
