Established in 1929 as the Extension School. The school offered similar course work as the University but taught at an alternative time. In 1935, the school merged with the Junior College forming the Intown College. In 1948, the name changed to the Evening College of Arts and Sciences and Business Administration. In 1959, it moved to the Chestnut Hill campus. In 1996, the name changed to the College of Advancing Studies.
