University of New Hampshire. Students for Open Debate.

Hide Profile

In the spring of 1970, the students at the University of New Hampshire went on strike. This was in reaction to the killng, on May 4, 1970, of 4 Kent State College students by National Guard Troops during an anti-war demonstration. There was a group of students at the University of New Hampshire producing a newsletter entitled "Strike Daily". They promoted the student strike and distributed information about local and national events. The group Students for Open Debate was intended as an organized alternative to the "Strike Daily" movement.
