Morris, Mrs.
Variant namesA school principal in Lewis, Iowa in 1864. This is the town where Belle Macomber Reynolds' father lived. Morris later lived in Lincoln, Neb. Reynolds was the only woman commissioned a major in the Civil War. Belle had moved to Illinois when she married William S. Reynolds in 1860. He served with the 17th Illinois Infantry and Belle went with him.
