Morris, Mrs.
A school principal in Lewis, Iowa in 1864. This is the town where Belle Macomber Reynolds' father lived. Morris later lived in Lincoln, Neb. Reynolds was the only woman commissioned a major in the Civil War. Belle had moved to Illinois when she married William S. Reynolds in 1860. He served with the 17th Illinois Infantry and Belle went with him.
