Gale, John, 1795?-1830

John Gale served as surgeon on an expedition to explore the Upper Missouri to the mouth the the Yellowstone River and to establish military posts. The expedition was first headed by Colonel Thomas A. Smith, and later by Colonel Henry Atkinson.
