"Carrington Phelps was the owner by inheritance of the Phelps Tavern, whose tavern sign recently appeared on Antiques Roadshow segment as a prime example of tavern signs of the 18th and 19th century. This tavern sign is now in the possession of the Conn State Historical Society."
