Albert Gleizes was a French Cubist painter, whose creations and writings about aesthetics and art theory were influenced by his religious conversion in 1917 during his residence in New York. He created the religious, artisanal and artistic communities of Moly Sabat at Sablons (Isère). From 1939 he continued his activity at his estate in Saint-Rémy-de Provence, surrounded by his disciples in a climate of mystic community.
