League of Nations Union; formed in Great Britain by the merger of the League of Free Nations Association and the League of Nations Society; became the largest and most influential British peace movement at that time; materials were widely distributed to churches, education and social groups; influence of the League waned during WWII, and in 1946 it merged into the already formed United Nations Association of Great Britain.
