Rice, Oscar Knefler, 1903-1978
Variant namesOscar Knefler Rice, chemist and professor, was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. He came to the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1936 and in 1959 was named Kenan Professor of Chemistry. In 1946-1947, he served as principal chemist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
