Poetess, and songwriter, Aliza Greenblatt's work was widely published in newspapers in United States and Israel. Greenblatt's published five volumes of Yiddish poetry and her songs were put to music by several composers including Abraham Ellstein and Solomon Golub. In addition to writing, Aliza Greenblatt was a founder of the Atlantic City, NJ chapter of the Zionist Organization of America and the Hadassah chapter in Atlantic City, and President of Women's Pioneers. In 1952, she and her husband Isidore attempted to settle in Israel, unsuccessful; they returned to New York and after Isidore's death in 1960, Aliza lived near her daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Woody Guthrie.
