Rev. Joseph Johnston was a missionary in Tahiti, 1842-1850, then a Congregational Minister in Fremantle, 1853-1886. Samuel Moore (1803-1849) arrived in Western Australia in 1834 and settled with his family at Oakover, Middle Swan. His son Samuel Joseph Fortescue married Eliza Mary Johnston, daughter of the Rev. Johnson.
