American Museum of Natural History. East Asiatic Committee.
The East Asiatic Committee was formed to fund an expedition to collect anthropological artifacts illustrating the industrial and social life of China. Berthold Laufer undertook collecting funded by Jacob H. Schiff on behalf of the American Museum of Natural History.
