Harold Stern is a native of Germany, who took refuge in England during the Holocaust. While his mother, Alice Stern, attempted to emigrate to the U. S., Stern attempted to enter Canada, but was rerouted to Australia where he was interned for twenty months before being allowed to enter the U. S. Alice Stern entered the U. S. in 1941 and died in 1978. Harold Stern entered the U. S. in 1947 and presently lives in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
