International Evangelical conference, 1983; meeting, sponsored by World Evangelical Fellowship and other organizations, held at Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois; consisted of three simultaneous consultations which dealt with the local church, evangelism across frontiers, and Christian response to human need; alternate name sometimes given was Wheaton '83 - An International Evangelical Conference on the Nature and Mission of the Church.
