Rodney H. Brady has had a long and successful business career. He was Vice President of Management Systems Corporation from 1962-1966. In 1966 Brady completed his Doctorate in business adminstration at Harvard University. After this, he joined the Hughes Tool Company, becoming Vice President from 1966-1970. In 1970 Brady became Assistant Secretary of Administration and Management of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare under the Nixon administration, a position he held until 1972, after which he served as Executive Vice President of the Bergen Brunswig Corporation (1972-1978). From this position, Brady was selected to serve as President of Weber State College (1975-1985). In 1985 Brady began his affiliation with Church businesses by becoming President and CEO of Bonneville International Corporation, a capacity which he filled until 1996 when he became President and CEO of Deseret Management Corporation. He finished his career at DMC in 2009, after nearly 50 years in business. Brady has also taken leadership roles in chairing many national and civic organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America National Executive Board, several boards of businesses in Utah and elsewhere, and the Utah Commission on Tax Recodification.

Rodney Howard Brady was born on 31 January 1933, in Sandy, Utah, to Kenneth Brady and Jessie Madsen. He attended the University of Utah, after which he served an LDS mission to Great Britain. He received his Doctor of Business Administration Degree at Harvard University in 1966. From 1966 to 1970, he worked for the Hughes Tool Company₁Aircraft Division, in Southern California. He then accepted a position as Assistant Secretary and Chief Administrative and Management Officer of the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, from 1970-1972. He served as President of Weber State College, in Utah, from 1979 to 1985.

Rodney Howard Brady (b. 1933), a native Utahn, served on many religious and civic capacities during his life, including missionary, bishop, and patriarch in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: officer in the United States Air Force; assistant secretary for administraion and management in the United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare; and president of Weber State College, among others.
