Gus Miller, proprietor of Gus Miller's News stand in Oakland (Pittsburgh, Pa.), was well known as an usher for the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team at Forbes Field and honored guest at his infamous birthday parties held on St. Patrick's Day in and around the Oakland store.
