• 1899 July 25: Born near Smithfield, Pennsylvania.
• 1919: Graduated from High School in Uniontown, PA.
• 1929: A.B. degree, Howard University.
• 1932: LL.B. degree, Howard University.
• 1933: Admitted to the District of Columbia Bar; the Bar of the United States Court of Appeals of the District of Columbia; the Bar of the United States District Court, 4th District; the Bar of the Municipal Court of the District of Columbia; and the United States Supreme Court.
• 1933 - 1942 : Engaged in private practice, primarily criminal and probate law and domestic relations.
• 1935 - 1936 : Harvard University Graduate School of Law.
• 1938 - 1942 : Member of Draft Board #13, Washington, D.C.
• 1942 - 1945 : American Red Cross (Task Force); served in the South- west Pacific Area (Australia and New Guinea) and also with the M.T.O. (Italy and Corsica), as Club and Field Director.
• 1945 - 1949 : Teacher of Law, Terrell Law School, Washington, D.C.
• 1946 - 1953 : Hearing Examiner for the of Columbia Rent Control Board until termination. For several of those years served as Senior Examiner.

• 1970 March 13: Died in Washington, D.C.
