WorldCat record id: 770726905 1899 July 25 Born near Smithfield, Pennsylvania. 1919 Graduated from High School in Uniontown, PA. 1929 A.B. degree, Howard University. 1932 LL.B. degree, Howard University. 1933 Admitted to the District of Columbia Bar; the Bar of the United States Court of Appeals of the District of Columbia; the Bar of the United States District Court, 4th District; the Bar of the Municipal Court of the District of Columbia; and the United States Supreme Court. 1933 1942 Engaged in private practice, primarily criminal and probate law and domestic relations. 1935 1936 Harvard University Graduate School of Law. 1938 1942 Member of Draft Board #13, Washington, D.C. 1942 1945 American Red Cross (Task Force); served in the South- west Pacific Area (Australia and New Guinea) and also with the M.T.O. (Italy and Corsica), as Club and Field Director. 1945 1949 Teacher of Law, Terrell Law School, Washington, D.C. 1946 1953 Hearing Examiner for the of Columbia Rent Control Board until termination. For several of those years served as Senior Examiner. 1953 Re-entered private practice, almost exclusively civil and primarily domestic relations, adoptions and probate work. 1958 1970 Board member, Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. 1970 March 13 Died in Washington, D.C.
