New Mexico. Bureau of Immigration
Variant namesThe Territorial Bureau of Immigration was established in 1880 to disseminate information about New Mexico's climate, resources, industries, and economic opportunities for development, as inducements for immigration to New Mexico (1880 NM Laws, Chp. 23, Sec. 1-6). The Bureau was abolished upon statehood in 1912.
