Musgrave, Anthony, Sir, 1828-1888
Variant namesGovernor of S.A. 1873-1877 and of Queensland 1883-1888. His nephew, also Anthony Musgrave, was the first Government Secretary of Papua.

Sir Anthony Musgrave. Born 17 November 1828, Antigua, West Indies. Became governor of South Australia in 1873. Made KCMG, Knight Commander of St. Michael and St. George, in 1875. Became governor of Queensland on 21 July 1883, holding the position until his death on 9 October 1888.
