John Gordon Noel Wilton (b. Nov. 22, 1910, Sydney, Australia-d. May 10, 1981, Canberra, Australia), General in the Australian Army, was originally commissioned in the British Army's Royal Artillery in 1930. He served as Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee; Chief of the General Staff; and commander, 28th British Commonwealth Infantry Brigade. During the Second World War he participated in the North African campaign, Syria-Lebanon campaign, and in the Southwest Pacific theater of operations. He later also served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired from the military in 1970.
