Van Wagenen, Theodore F. (Theodore Francis)
Variant namesTheodore F. Van Wagenen was born in N.Y. state in 1849. He graduated from Columbia College, New York City, N.Y. in 1870 before moving to Georgetown, Colo. in the spring of 1871. Van Wagenen worked as a mining engineer in Georgetown, Central City and Leadville, Colo., Ariz., Mont., Wyo., Mexico and South Africa during the 19th and early 20th centuries. He published several scientific books and technical papers. Van Wagenen later lived in Denver and Pueblo, Colo., before dying in Basin, Wyo. in 1936.
