Risser, Fred A.
Variant namesRisser (b. May 5, 1927) enlisted in the Navy as a medic in 1945. The war ended while he was in basic training and he continued with his military service until being honorably discharged in 1946 to attend Carleton College (Minnesota). After earning his law degree at the University of Oregon, Risser set up private practice in Madison and was elected first to the Wisconsin Assembly where he served from 1956 to 1962 and then to the Wisconsin Senate where he has served from 1962 to present.
