Civic leader. Born in 1890 in Bonham, Texas. Moved to Lubbock, Texas, in 1924. Head of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and Board of City Development (1924-1962). Manager of the South Plains Fair for 43 years. Instrumental in the development of Texas Tech University, Reese Air Force Base, and Mackenzie State Park. Died in 1967 in Lubbock, Texas.
