Known as Detroit's "Labor Priest". Executive secretary of the Catholic Conference on Industrial Problems, executive secretary of the Detroit Archdiocesan Labor Institute. Fr. Clancy launched a program of labor education for Roman Catholic workers in 1939-1940 that grew to be the largest such program in any Roman Catholic Diocese in the world.
