Bernstein, Dorothy Lewis, 1914-

Received BA and MA from the University of Wisconsin and a PhD in mathematics from Brown University. Bernstein taught mathematics at Mount Holyoke College (1937-40); the University of Wisconsin (1941-42); the University of California (1942-43); the University of Rochester (1943-59); Goucher College (1959-79) and also was department chair (1960-70 and 1974-79); was visiting professor at Brown University (1979-).
