Brand, John, 1744-1806
Variant namesJohn Brand, British topographer and authority on pre-Christian Britain. Brand wrote several volumes of poetry, but is chiefly remembered for his works on British antiquities. His Popular Antiquities was revised in 1870 by William Carew Hazlitt, grandson of William Hazlitt.
