Burch (July 6, 1874-Aug. 10, 1958) graduated from Wayne State University in 1896 and then moved to Mount Pleasant (Mich.). He worked for 16 years as a county physician, was in charge of the county hospital and infirmary for 17 years, served as an anesthetist for seven years, and as health officer of the city for three years. On Jan. 19, 1898, Burch married Miss Bessie May Carr (d. Jan. 1955), with whom he had two children: Mrs. Amanda Hanson and Mrs. Isabella Miller.
