McAllister, Frances B.

Frances B. McAllister was a board member of CDSI and the files include board correspondence and minutes, reports and recommendations to the board, current and pending activities, dialogue discussion papers, and financial reports. McAllister also was president of the Friends of the International Ocean Institute, which supported programs and events of the International Ocean Institute (IOI). IOI was founded by Elisabeth Mann Borgese, who helped organized Pacem in Maribus conferences.

McAllister lived in Flagstaff, AZ for many years and gave her papers to Northern Arizona University in 1981. She died in Flagstaff on August 3, 2008 at age 97. Northern Arizona University transferred the papers to UCSB in 2011, where they reside with other collections relating to CSDI and its leaders.
