Variant namesDavid Macritchie was a contemporary of the geographer, botanist and polar explorer Robert Neal Rudmose Brown, during 1915 he corresponded with the latter regarding the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition, 1902-1904 (leader William Speirs Bruce).
