Loebl, Eugen, 1909-1987.
In 1948 Loebl was Czechoslovak Minister of Foreign Trade; in 1949 he was arrested and 3 years later was tried in the Slansky show trials. He was eventually released from prison, and in 1968 came to the United States. In the United States he has taught economics (at Vassar) and written extensively on economics and world affairs; his best known book is, "My Mind on Trial."
