Knox Family.
The Knox Family was a prominent Western Pennsylvania family who first settled in Fayette County in 1797. Prominent family members included Reverend Wm. Knox, a prominent methodist minister; David Knox, newspaper editor and banker; and Philander C. Knox, U.S. Senator and Secretary of State.
