Batchelder, Leon W.

Leon W. Batchelder was the son of Lyman Batchelder who was in charge of construction at the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts from 1915-1919. During World War I, the college housed and trained men in the Student's Army Training Detachment. The men worked on many construction projects on the campus as part of their training. The School became the University of New Hampshire in 1923.
