Swedish-born, American-educated Augustana Lutheran pastor who served congregations in Brroklyn, N.Y. and Omaha, Nebraska. Instrumental in promotion of deaconess movement in the Augustana Church and establishment of deaconess hospital and training institute in Omaha.
