Rockefeller, Rodman, 1932-2000

As president (1968-1972) and chief executive (1972-1980) of International Basic Economy Corporation, and chairman of it's successor IBEC Inc., from 1980-1985, Rockefeller was involved with genetic engineering and agribusiness in Mexico, and worked to build closer economic ties between the United States and Latin America. In 1996 Rockefeller was awarded Mexico's Order of the Mexican Aguila Azteca. He was a graduate of Dartmouth College and Columbia University's Graduate School of Business Administration, and was active in the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Rockefeller Financial Services. Rodman C. Rockefeller died on 14 May 2000.
