Jacob A. Meyers was the son of L. W. Meyers, who operated one of the first flour mills in the Inland Northwest at Meyers Falls in 1863. Jacob Meyers joined his father in Stevens County in 1869 at the age of fourteen. Jacob Meyers later had an orchard at Meyers Falls. Because of his long association with the Inland Northwest, Meyers helped locate many locations for historic markers in the area. He also wrote several articles which were published in the Washington Historical Quarterly. He died in 1925.
