Egan, Beresford, 1905-1984
Variant namesBeresford Egan was born in London and began his career as a newspaper cartoonist, later becoming an illustrator for popular magazines and for three novels of his own. He was an actor in films, the author of several plays, and a drama critic. His illustrations for De Sade created censorship problems.
