Staser, Harry I.

Harry I. Staser was born in Indiana in 1891. He made several trips to Alaska (1910-1912) and then moved to Fairbanks (1912). He served in World War I. He later studied mining and returned to Alaska (1919). Harry Staser served in the Alaska Territorial House of Representatives in the early 1920s. He worked in various gold mines and was a deputy marshal in Anchorage (1923-1933). He purchased and operated a gold mine near Girdwood and died there in 1940. His wife, Barbara, died in 1953.
