Florida. Supreme Court
Variant namesThe Supreme Court replaced the Territorial Court of Appeals in 1845 (Article V, 1838 Constitution; Article V, 1885 and 1968 Constitutions). The Supreme Court consists of seven justices, with at least one from each appellate district. The Court hears appeals in death penalty cases and reviews the decisions of the District Courts of Appeal and trial courts.
